LCV and Center for American Progress will co-host this event as part of the "State House to the White House Series" to discuss how progress on environmental justice in states should be used as a blueprint for Congress as they work to build new clean energy infrastructure and address the climate crisis.

James Povijua, Policy Director at New Mexico Center for Civic Policy
Alyssa Macy, CEO of Washington Environmental Council and Washington Conservation Voters

Speakers will discuss:
-- New Mexico's transition to clean energy focused on frontline and indigenous communities following their 100% clean electricity law
-- New Jersey's wholistic approach to environmental justice and the state’s new law to address cumulative impacts and historic pollution in overburdened communities
-- Washington's HEAL Act that will ensure state investments go to those communities who need it most and how it will shape the state's recently passed climate bills to focus investments in communities with the widest health disparities
